About Me
My name is Maddie Lopez, and I am a licensed speech-language pathologist specializing in providing comprehensive support to children, teenagers and adults with social learning and self-regulation difficulties. This means that many of the individuals I work with struggle with the process of attending, interpreting, problem solving, and responding to the social information around them. These individuals may also struggle with making and keeping friends, emotional control, executive function skills and perspective taking. After receiving my Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware and Master of Science from Hunter College, I worked as a speech-language pathologist in a special education private school and then at a charter school. Along with working with individuals with social learning challenges (both in private practice and in school-based settings), I also have extensive background working with students with dyslexia, as well as those with expressive and receptive language delays. I primarily work with individuals ranging from age 5 to early adulthood. I employ evidence-based approaches, innovative techniques, and personalized interventions to create a supportive environment that fosters growth and empowers individuals to reach their full potential.
